Orientation Day

One of the perks of joining us as a student is that you’ll join along with many other friendly faces. Hosted by our Talent Acquisition and HR teams, our student cohorts are welcomed at our corporate head office for a fun and informative orientation. You’ll instantly have a new network of peers to count on during and after your time with us.

Corporate Tours

Wonder what life at our operating companies looks like? We partner with various Atlantic Canadian post-secondary educational institutions to provide their students with a glimpse of our world. Our teams enjoy providing the next generation with advice and guidance, and students appreciate the networking and learning opportunities.

Inspiring Future Leaders

When it’s time for 'Take Your Kid to Work Day', our teams don’t hold back. Our grade nine visitors are provided with many valuable lessons to help them explore their future potential. This includes resume building and interviews tips, touring our facilities, networking and sharing the importance of safety for young people in the workplace.

Community Partnerships

Energy fills our halls when students join us for a job shadowing day. We team up with our community partners and introduce our visitors to our team, the work we do, explore career options, and connect them with potential mentors.

Social Committee

Our teams like to have fun together and when you join us for a co-op term or internship, you’ll get to experience that firsthand. Bake sales, sport events, fundraising efforts, pizza lunches, the chance to run the Emera Blue Nose marathon, and opportunities to engage in social activities are all part of your experience. Joining our co-op social committee provides you with great resume building opportunities. We invite you to lead the way.
